Chapter Chatter: Captain John Oldham’s Constitution Week Bell Ringing

On September 17, 2020, Captain John Oldham Chapter’s bell ringing took place at Calanan Park, Nevada City to observe the signing of the Constitution by our countries’ brave declaration signers. We also recited the names of the original thirteen colonies as we rang the bells for a full minute.

Nevada City is famous for hosting a Constitution Day Parade every year. Due to Covid-19, the parade was cancelled this year. As a chapter, we felt it was appropriate to honor the long history of a Constitution Day celebration in Historic Nevada City and continued our tradition.
