Chapter Chatter: Gold Trail Celebrates Constitution Week

On Constitution Day September 17, 2020, Gold Trail Chapter gathered in Clark Dominguez Park in Rocklin. We celebrated “Bells Across America” at 1: 00 pm.

Jim Faulkinbury, a SAR member (and HODAR to Gold Trail’s Karen Faulkinbury), wore his Revolutionary War uniform and posted the colors. His grandson, Kai Rex, led the Pledge of Allegiance. Gold Trail’s Nora Hansen wore her revolutionary period dress and held her 13-star flag. There were about 25 participants, all observing safe distancing and wearing masks. Patriotic songs were sung, led by past regent Jean Thomas.

Gold Trail Chapter was busy Constitution Week delivering kits to schools and businesses in Rocklin, Roseville, and Lincoln; the kits included posters, flags, Pledge of Allegiance cards, Constitution leaflets and bookmarks.

We received Proclamations from Congressman Tom McClintock, State Assemblyman Kevin Kiley, State Senator Jim Nielsen and the cities of Rocklin, Roseville, and Lincoln.
