Chapter Chatter: San Clemente Island Daughters Rise and Shine Supporting Their Community

San Clemente Island Daughters continue to make difference. In this time of COVID-19, everyone needs to step up and contribute in a positive way to their community, wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Our chapter members have been sewing masks, started a lending library, sent thinking of you note cards, started a bi-monthly chapter newsletter and packed food boxes for the Marines at Camp Pendleton. One member volunteered to raise and lower the American flag at her place of residence since staff was in short supply. Another set up a DAR booth at a local 4th of July parade and passed out information on our society as well as patriotic coloring pages for the children.

We are making a difference, staying connected and lending a hand whenever the opportunity arises.
