Chapter Chatter: Santa Margarita Chapter Honors State Regent Adele Lancaster

One June 13, 2020, Regent Charla Boodry and the executive board of the Santa Margarita Chapter, held a small, informal, meeting at the home of chapter Treasurer, Jacquie Berzins. We gathered as a board one last time, enjoying fellowship and turnover that couldn’t be done in a virtual meeting.

Joining the board was chapter member and California DAR State Regent, Adele Lancaster. Adele has been a chapter member for over thirty-five years and active in many capacities during that time. She has held various chapter and state chairmanships, chapter regent 2004-2006, State Historian, State Corresponding Secretary, State Vice Regent and  State Regent 2018-2020. Adele is also currently a candidate for Vice President General at the National level.

The chapter bylaws allow a member who has shown extraordinary efforts in fulfilling the national mission for God, Home and Country, to be awarded the title of Honorary Chapter Regent. This gathering was an opportunity for Honorary Chapter Regent, Wanda Prosser, to honor Adele with this title and pin on behalf of the chapter.

Santa Margarita Chapter is so proud of Adele and the difference that she has made through her service to God, Home and Country, and to our chapter.
