Announcement: Service to America Online Tally

We hope that this announcement finds everyone safe and healthy.

A quick reminder to everyone that Service to America is alive and well. We request your continued support to keep entering volunteer service hours to the Online Tally which is available from the link below:

Service to America Online Tally

A heartfelt thank you to the California Daughters who are sewing masks and other PPE items.

Many stay-at-home activities that count towards Service to America. A few examples include: tending to pollinator gardens, online indexing, digitizing conserving or preserving of historical or genealogical materials, reading to children over Zoom, running online Scout meetings, or writing cards or notes to military veterans or active-duty military.

As always, DAR work should be included; working on chapter websites (Facebook pages, etc.), working on DAR indexing syncing, DAR Genealogy Preservation or Supporting Documentation Projects, genealogical research (including for prospective members), preparing the chapter yearbook, and collecting and mailing box tops, to name a few.

During these challenging times we continue to perform service activities and encourage our members to enter those hours as we serve God, Home, and Country.

If you have any questions on your suggested goals or acceptable hours please feel free to contact either of us.
