Announcement: Funding for Lancaster Administration State Regent’s Project ends April 30, 2020

Thank you California Daughters for your support for our State Regent’s Project!

ALL money raised through the State Regent’s Project this second year has been / is going to the Gary Sinise Foundation R.I.S.E Program to help with building Smart Homes for severely wounded veterans and their families. Through this year’s efforts and funds designated to the Sinise Foundation the first year, we have contributed, to date, $65,000 to support two families. June 6, 2020, we will make our final presentation. We are approximately $6,000 away from a third home… of having raised $100,000 for this project. There is still time to reach this goal.

Some chapters have suggested that members donate what they would have paid for their (canceled) April chapter meeting using the money for a donation to the project.

Some chapters are holding virtual teas or ice cream socials, with proceeds going to the project. Here’s how it works: contribute what it would have cost to attend, such as cost of admission, perhaps what you would have paid for an appropriate dress for the affair, new shoes, but stay in comfy clothes and enjoy the tea in your own favorite place at home… maybe this year, in a GoToMeeting get-together!

Some individual Daughters still want to just make a donation… to make a difference.

And others will be purchasing last minute sea star items in the special “Blow Out, Clear the Shelves” Sale. Use the form found on the Members’ Website homepage, linked below. These sale items are not available through the Webstore and will only be available through April 30. Many are in short supply. Do confirm availability with Nancy Wiard, as stated in the form.

Blow Out Clear the Shelves Sale Form

Checks must be dated by April 30 for money to be included in the final presentation to the Gary Sinise Foundation from the Lancaster Administration State Regent’s Project.

Checks, made out to “State Treasurer CSSDAR” for fundraisers, donations, sale items, should be sent to:
State Headquarters
PO Box 1436
Glendora, CA 91740-1436

Thank you so much for your support these past two years! The Oak Lea was finished the first year and support for two (possibly three) wounded warriors through our donations to the Gary Sinise Foundation has been incredible!

The generosity of California Daughters has truly… made a difference!
