Chapter Chatter:  El Redondo Chapter Enjoys Presentation from Fire Grazers, Inc. at January Chapter Meeting

In the past,  El Redondo Chapter Daughters have heard several talks by conservationists on conserving water by using drought resistant plantings and helping save Monarch butterflies by providing their favorite plants in their gardens.

At the January meeting the ladies learned more about an ally to help in the prevention/damage reduction of the dreaded wild fires common in California and now ravaging Australia. Past Regent Fran Bock introduced speaker Michael Choi of Fire Grazers, Inc. His family raises and manages these allies–500 goats in Mariposa, CA.

Most El Redondo ladies have glimpsed these voracious weed eaters at work on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Mr. Choi embellished his explanation of the raising, transporting and management of these goats with herd photos and landscape photos showing the results of the grazing.
