The Jose Maria Amador Chapter participated in several projects honoring Veterans in the month of November, 2019. The month started off with members walking in the City of Pleasanton Veteran’s Day parade.

We then had a great November meeting where a speaker, Pat Frizzell, from the Pleasanton Military Families group educated us on what their group does. At this same meeting we also highlighted one of our own chapter members, Lila McAlhany, who is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. We learned Lila’s life story and about her military service.

Our final event was volunteering at the holiday “Pack Out” with Pleasanton Military Families. We assisted in packing boxes to be sent to local troops that are stationed abroad. It was a fun morning and a great feeling knowing the service members truly appreciate the packages.
