Chapter Chatter: Sacramento Chapter Daughters Clean William S. Hamilton’s Grave

Sacramento Chapter Daughters cleaned the grave of William S. Hamilton, son of Alexander Hamilton, on October 12, 2019, to celebrate the National Day of Service!

William S. Hamilton dropped out of West Point and East coast life when he was 20, becoming a miner. He came to California for the Gold Rush and died of cholera in 1850. He is buried in the Sacramento Historic City Cemetery, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
