Chapter Chatter: John Greenleaf Whittier Chapter recognizes Hostesses and Greeters

On September 28, 2019, the John Greenleaf Chapter’s Board hosted a potluck luncheon in appreciation of the dedication of its Hostesses and Greeters at the home of First Vice Regent Diana Arnold.

The gathering of the DAR Daughters on this day also added meaning to the annual Good Neighbor Day that promotes “neighborliness and niceness towards people around us.” In 1978, then President Jimmy Carter issued a proclamation that designated the last Saturday in September a National Good Neighbor Day.

Surrounded by the home’s beautiful view and Diana’s loving pets, it was perfect day to spend with friends.
