Chapter Chatter: From High Tea to the Constitution- Santa Lucia Celebrates Constitution Week

On September 14, 2019, the Santa Lucia Chapter convened for high tea at the historic Steinbeck House in Salinas, CA. The Steinbeck House is a restored Queen Anne style Victorian built in 1897 as well as the birthplace and boyhood home of John Steinbeck.

After high tea, the Chapter celebrated Constitution Week and received a visit from Mayor Joe Gunter, who presented the Chapter with a proclamation from the City of Salinas.

The Chapter’s Constitution Week festivities concluded with the chapter distributing 1,000 pocket-size Constitution booklets to local area high schools.
