State Regent Announcement: Subtle Ways to Promote the DAR: T-Shirts and Challenge Coins

T-Shirts
Three T-shirts may now be ordered through the CSSDAR Members’ only Webstore. The white and blue promote California DAR and would be worn when members are active in community service or events. The red is offered to support the President General’s encouragement to “Wear RED on Friday” to symbolize support for our troops. The R-E-D stands for: Remember Everyone Deployed.
All three have V-necks and are styled to be more generous in the hip area. Each is $20 with an additional charge for shipping.
To order multiple shirts off-line, use the writable/printable form link below:
Form and check(s), made out to CSSDAR Treasurer should be mailed to:
State Headquarters
PO Box 1436
Glendora, CA 91740-1436.
Chapters/districts preferring to “DIY” and order their own may use the graphic introduced at the September Council meetings. That is found by logging on and going to Documents and Forms>State Forms and Documents>State Society and it’s the top item on the table. See link to graphics below:
This graphic, with curved California wording fits best on a crew neck t-shirt. Shirts with this design will be offered through the Webstore and mail-in order form in mid-October.
Challenge Coins
The new California-specific Challenge Coin was introduced at the September Council meetings. It features the new DAR logo on one side and our State Headquarters on the other. (If you look very closely, you will see a bench, showing the completed Oak Lea in the foreground.) These are $10 each, with shipping available for an additional cost. Challenge Coins are used to thank a guest speaker, express gratitude for a special service rendered, or as a token for some other recognition. They are usually presented through a quiet handshake exchange. Use the Challenge Coin form, see link below for off-line orders.
Webstore note: If you want your order shipped, you MUST click an “Add Shipping” tile and add it to your cart for either the shirt or the coin or both, if you are ordering both items. For each item that you want shipped, you must also add shipping. The t-shirts and the coins may be picked up at State events to avoid the shipping charges: Heritage Tea (November 2nd) and the Victorian Christmas Tea (December 14th). Other pick-up dates TBD.
To order online, items are found on the CSSDAR WebStore under State Regent’s Project (SRP) items which can be accessed from the link below after login:
Proceeds from the sale of these items will be used exclusively to benefit the Gary Sinise Foundation R.I.S.E. Program.
