Chapter Chatter: Redwood Forest Chapter Celebrates Constitution Week

Our first meeting of 2019-2020 term of the Redwood Forest Chapter was held on September 21, 2019, during National Constitution Week.

We celebrated Constitution Week with a display at the Humboldt County Library, and we also invited Professor Guy Aronoff from the History Department at Humboldt State University to present a talk on the United States Constitution. Along with important facts on the history and the creation of the Constitution, he also enlightened us with interesting anecdotes about our founding fathers and our most prized document, the US Constitution. Over the years, Professor Aronoff has spoken at our meetings and has always been well received. For the upcoming Presidential election, he will return for our March 2020 meeting with information on the Electoral College.

This year, National has presented Redwood Forest Chapter with two awards for Constitution Week: one for ‘Excellence in Constitution Week Leadership Award – Chapter & Community’ and the other for a ‘Chapter with a Proclamation from the City Government’.
