Announcement: National Defense Committee

The National Defense Committee was once part of the Patriotic Education Committee and we still serve that basic mission. While we cover military matters, “National Defense” also includes informing our members about and encouraging them to be active on issues that would make the United States a stronger nation, such as encouraging schools to teach foundational subjects and maintain high academic standards; informed voting at both primary and regular elections; emergency planning and preparedness; proactive cybersecurity techniques; and developing a vigilant appreciation of the constitutional rights of all Americans.

The NATIONAL DEFENDER Publication is a resource to communicate National Defense issues to your chapter and communities! The publications are available from this link (after login):

 National Defender Publications

Our National Chair would like the National Defender to include articles on some of the above topics in the coming year. California Daughters are encouraged to look for or write articles in these areas and email them to Laurie Parker Nesbitt, National Chair laurienesbitt@verizon.net, for potential publication in the National Defender. Unless your story is your own work, you should also submit the Permission to Use Articles and Photos (ND-2002). Below is a link to the Permission Form:

Let’s see those California Daughters Rise and Shine for America!
