The Santa Margarita Chapter entered a small group in the City of Oceanside’s Independence Day Parade. The parade falls on the same day that many members were in Washington DC for the annual DAR Continental Congress.

This is the fifth year of the chapter’s participation. The Santa Margarita chapter will be celebrating ninety years in Oceanside in October. Originally chartered as the Oceanside Chapter, the name change was made as the area’s population increased.

Always supportive of American ideals such as patriotism, historic preservation and education, our members, regardless of numbers, find many ways to participate in our community.
