Chapter Chatter: El Dorado Chapter Committed to Community Classroom

The El Dorado chapter has a very involved Community Classroom committee and are in local schools on a regular basis.

Working with the El Dorado Union High School District, we are supplying food and clothing at El Dorado and Union Mine high schools;  both have students grades 9-12.

We have also worked with Black Oak Mine Unified School District and two of their elementary schools, Otter Creek School and Georgetown School,  have been supported with food and clothing.

In the Mother Lode School District schools, Herbert Green Middle School and Indian Creek Elementary School, are also being helped.

Our contributions to the schools are very appreciated as many of our local schools have students at the poverty level and in much need of local community support.  Our Community Classroom committee is sustained by our chapter members and we will continue to provide assistance to schools next year.
