Chapter Chatter: Alta Mira Chapter Honors Veterans in Porterville Annual Ceremony

Alta Mira Chapter Daughters participated in the Porterville Annual Veterans Day Memorial Service on November 4, 2018, sponsored by American Legion Post 20. For many years the chapter has been part of the ceremony which honors all those who died in the Porterville area in the Spanish American War through Operation Enduring Freedom. The names of each Veteran is read aloud. The chapter presents a wreath in honor of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The P.O.W. and M.I.A. recognition ceremony was presented by the American Legion. The Porterville Homecoming Queen and her court also attended. They were hostesses for the event. CAR member, Samantha Rainey, was part of the royal court. She is the daughter of Deborah Rainey,  Alta Mira Chapter Secretary.
