State Librarian News: First Genealogy Workshop and Paper Party Held in Sacramento

The State Society held its first Genealogy Workshop and Paper Party at the Sacramento FamilySearch Library on October 26, 2018 with thirty Daughters in attendance and eight ‘Genies for the Day’ who shared their expertise to complete new applications and supplementals.  A casual lunch was served where everyone shared their new found patriots and other success stories.  Daughters enjoyed the use the twenty five computers available at no charge along with ability to download information to their own flash drives.

The FamilySearch Library is one of fifteen in the world where the vast majority of the Latter Day Saints (LDS) Library in Salt Lake City information can be accessed.  All attendees reported it was a successful day of research and friendship.
