Announcement: Constitution Week Poster Contest Deadline November 5, 2018

Though Constitution Week has ended, one more event this year remains: the Constitution Week Poster Contest.

This is a National Contest open to anyone of any age. There will be recognition and a display at our State Conference (always exciting) for the best posters submitted to State…and then we hold our breath to see if our state’s artists will place first or second nationally. Who knows? We might see one of our posters printed and sold for next year’s Constitution Week!

If you haven’t already, please contact the artistic of any age in your chapter, area schools and clubs. The entry forms and rules are available from the National Committee page at this link:

Due date for submissions to this state chair is November 5th with more information on the CSSDAR Constitution Week page at the following link (after login):

In short, the poster must be 14 by 17 inches, executed in any medium that does not leave a raised finish. Naturally, brush strokes are allowed, just not major lumps or bumps. Somewhere on the poster must be the phrase: Constitution Week 17-23 September. Thus, imagination has free rein!
