Announcement: Get Those Service to America Hours Recorded for 2018!

TICK-TOCK, TICK-TOCK, TICK-TOCK
DON’T DILLY DALLY
GET THOSE HOURS ON THE TALLY!

The clock is ticking away, dear Daughters, and California has some catching up to do to bring ourselves up to last year’s recorded hours.

WE CAN DO BETTER and WE WILL DO BETTER

Chapter meetings started this month, chairs are busy working on the essay contests, Constitution Week, collecting dues, visiting the veterans, helping neighbors after the fires – the list goes on and on.

DAR Members can count their DAR volunteer service such as preparing agendas for the meeting, packing boxes for Project Patriot, mounting displays for Constitution week, participating in Patriotic parades, time spent as treasurer, recording secretary, or other officer/committee positions.  Did you attend Southern/Northern Council workshops, set up committee displays, make friendship bracelets for our military?  Count those hours!

Our President General, Ann Dillon, has made a goal of 19,000,000 hours in community service and is encouraging ALL of us to be recognized as an organization in “Moving Forward in Service to America.” The CSSDAR website has information on acceptable community service hours and directions to log your hours.  Regents are encouraged to find a member who can help members log these hours or collect and enter the hours for them. Service to America hours can be entered by going to the CSSDAR website and the link is RIGHT THERE on the right hand side. Acceptable Volunteer Service hours information is available on the Service to America Committee Page.

All service hours must be entered into the Service to America Online Tally in order to be counted on the Chapter Master Report.  We all know the Daughters do SO very much to help in the community so PLEASE do your part reminding the public of our Society’s lasting relevance as we move forward Making a Difference to God, Home and Country.
