Chapter Chatter: El Redondo Chapter Learns About CSSDAR Headquarters and Celebrates Veterans at Two Events On Same Day

The El Redondo Chapter had a busy chapter meeting day as it fell on November 11 and members were involved in three events on behalf of the Chapter.  In cooperation with Point Vicente Chapter,  members met at 11:00 a.m. at Green Hills Cemetery for their annual Veterans Day ceremony.  At the regular afternoon meeting the members were treated to a presentation on the history of the Hamlin House in Glendora by Pat Goldman, former Chair of the State Headquarters Administrative Committee.  She then gave members a tour by way of photos of the home and grounds.  While most members were enjoying the presentation, others were representing the Chapter at their booth set up at the Redondo Beach Veterans Park.  A stirring program included music by the 40th Infantry Division Band of the California Army National Guard and a talk by keynote speaker Brigadier General Philip A. Garrant, Deputy Commander, Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base.
