Dorothy Reed Pace, member of the DAR Service to Veterans Committee, El Toyon Chapter, Stockton, is shown delivering 17 quilts made by the Committee to the Polytrauma Unit of the VA Palo Alto Health Care System earlier this month.

The members of the DAR Service to Veterans Committee work all year piecing the quilts and pray that their needlework skills will bring comfort to the service men and women who have returned from Iraq and Afghanistan.  Because of a love for American service men and women Leann Valenzuela of Lathrop generously donates her time quilting the covers.
