Chapter Chatter: Luiseño Chapter Celebrates 50th Anniversary

50-anniver-grpOn October 25th the Luiseño Chapter celebrated their 50th Anniversary as an organized chapter of the DAR.  It was a special event with many special guests, including our State Regent, Beverly Moncrieff; State Vice Regent, Adele Lancaster; State Librarian, Diane Stephens; several District Officers, the Mayor of Murrieta, a Color Guard from the SAR, and several other guests.  Included in the event was the chapter’s National Day of Service project.  We waited until this date so that we could celebrate both occasions together.  The attendees of the meeting brought in over 200 lbs. of canned goods that the chapter delivered to the Temecula Food Pantry.  The chapter has over 100 members now and is looking forward to another 50 years.
