The New Members Course was initiated in September 2014 to assist both new and existing members in exploring all the aspects of the DAR.  Part I explores the NSDAR web site and Part II delves into the CSSDAR web site.  The purpose was to familiarize members with all the offices and committees that are available for assistance or to become an active participant in one of the areas.

The Class of 2016 was recognized at State Conference in March during the State Registrar’s report.  Each participant received special seating, graduation lei, and a certificate of completion or participation.  Recognized at conference this year were Susan Broderick, Janet Brown, Michelle Field, Tanya Gillick, Kimberly Jo Olson, Sue Fitzpatrick, Denia Hubbard, Robyn Kraft, Adele Lancaster, and Michelle Williams.  Recognized but not attending were: Erin Bentham, Jana Caldron, Cynthia Eberhardt, Erleen Enke, Mary Escalante, Laura Gallagher, Lindalee Green, Corrine Higgins, Debbie James, Dorothy Jones, Linda Kangas, Cyndee Poilott, Rachel, Whitman, and Theresa Works.  Several other ladies were enrolled, but progress was not reported.  Congratulations to all!

Members, especially new chapter officers are encouraged to peruse the contents of this program.  It is set up to be generic and should help locate the necessary tools to perform each duty.
