Chapter DAR Service to Veterans Committee Chair Maralee Phillips is shown delivering 15 quilts made by the committee to Michele Larsen, Voluntary Service Specialist, VA Palo Alto Health Care System.

The members of the DAR Service to Veterans Committee work all year piecing the quilts and pray that their needlework skills will bring comfort to the service men and women in the Trauma Center who have returned from Iraq and Afghanistan. Because of a love of American service men and women Leann Valenzuela of Lathrop and Vera Nelson of Lodi generously donate their time quilting the covers.
