On February 13, 2016, the Redwood Forest Chapter presented their Good Citizen Awards at the Humboldt Area Foundation Conference Room. These students, all graduating high school seniors, exemplify the NSDAR qualities of good character: Dependability, Service, Leadership and Patriotism.

They were also selected by non-DAR judges for qualities of excellence in writing on the topic, “Our American Heritage – Our Rights and Freedoms”.
