State Regent’s Message: January 2016

Carole-FrameDear California Daughters,

The beautiful Rose Parade floats have been dismantled; the 2015 calendar is filed away; 2016 is fresh.  Now, with the New Year, it is time to get back to the details of DAR!

Soon, the Call to Conference for the 108th State Conference and the registration form will be available online.  An announcement will go out when it has been posted.  This year we will celebrate 125 years of our California State Society.

In the meantime, electronic filing of Chapter Master Report, the merging of Chapter Achievement and the Master Questionnaire, must be completed before February 1.  In addition, check the Calendar on the Members’ Website for the due dates for other submissions.

The Victorian Christmas Tea at our Headquarters in Glendora was a rousing success with a record attendance.  The landscape architect’s drawings for the Oak Lea, the State Regent project to enhance the western parcel of the property, were on display.  It was truly exciting to see the enthusiastic response!  Shortly, the work will go out to bid, and then we will see how much can be accomplished with funds raised during this administration.  It will be a lovely improvement to our beautiful property.  Take a look:
