Junior American Citizen Contest Theme and Deadlines Announced

All chapters are invited to submit entries to the 2015-2016 Junior American Citizens’ Contest. This year’s theme is:
“Celebrate America.”

The Junior American Citizens’ Committee offers contests in art, creative expression, and community service for grades 1-12. Preschoolers may participate in the banner and group community service divisions only. C.A.R. societies, youth groups and schools may participate in the contests.

Contest entries must be submitted through a local DAR Chapter and Chapter deadlines may vary. All local DAR Chapter Winners MUST BE RECEIVED BY THIS STATE CHAIRMAN ON OR BEFORE FRIDAY, JANUARY 1, 2016. Art Contest
Individuals may enter the stamp design, poster design and photographic essay categories. Groups may enter the banner design contest.

Creative Expression
Individuals may enter the poetry and short story categories.

Community Service Project
Individuals and groups and may enter the Community Service category.
