Chapter Chatter: Bakersfield Chapter Honors Vietnam Veterans

The Bakersfield Chapter commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.

The Bakersfield Chapter commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.

In March 1965 America’s ground war began in Vietnam when 3,500 Marines were deployed. At the end of the war in April 1975 nearly 3,000,000 Americans had been on the ground and more than 58,000 Americans lost their lives.

The March 2015 Bakersfield Chapter meeting honored four Vietnam War veterans: Roger Steelman, Bob Stone, Dan Williams and Larry Hallum. Each of these brave men gave an unbelievable accounting of their time in the jungle of Vietnam.  On this 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the Vietnam War we want to thank them for their service and patriotism!
