The 2015 Debutante Presentation and Banquet was an elegant evening to cap the day’s events.  Eight lovely debutantes were presented to the State Society including Eleanor Ann Boling, Eleanore Larkin Browne, Katherine Kurt, Ashley Madisen Menasco, Hannah Schmitt, Renee’ Leane Shok, Natalie South, and Leslie Naomi Young.  Each young woman presented their female DAR family member with a rose.  It was a touching and lovely presentation.

State Regent Carol Oakley Jackson and State Headquarters Preservation Chair and Honorary State Regent Debra Jamison honored Daughter Carolyn Bushnell for her outstanding work in coordinating the renovation this past Fall.

 

 

 

 

Following the presentation was a musical program, “A Musical Walk through History–Till They Come Home,” performed by the CSSDAR Chorus and conducted by Patricia “Tica” O’Neill, State Music Committee Chairmen.  An arrangement of over 20 patriotic songs were performed including the anthems of all the branches of the military, “The Yellow Rose of Texas” in  honor of President General Lynn Forney Young, “Till They Come Home” a special request by State Regent Carol Oakley Jackson and several other patriotic songs.  Audience members participated and enjoyed this uplifting and patriotic arrangement.
