State Regent’s Message: February 2015

Carole-FrameDear California Daughters,

The 107th State Conference is fast approaching.  We anticipate a great turnout at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel in Burbank.  Your conference chairman and her hard working committee want to make sure you have a special time, and they have a busy schedule planned for all of us.

It is exciting to know that the top executive officer of our organization will be attending!  President General Lynn Forney Young will bring greetings on Opening Night and then speak to us at the opening business session on Friday morning.  Plans for the commemoration of the 125th anniversary of NSDAR’s founding are already underway.  We in California are excited to be a part of celebrating 125 years of service to America!  And, remember to record your volunteer hours for Celebrate America!

If you are a member of the Heritage Club and are attending the conference, you will receive an invitation to the Heritage Club Breakfast, sponsored by the National Society.  Mrs. Young is holding these events all over the country when she attends a state conference.  She looks forward to meeting our members.  Staff from the NSDAR Development Office will be attending the conference to answer your questions, accept donations, and verify your eligibility to purchase insignia from Hamilton Jewelers, who will also be attending.

State Conference is the annual business meeting of our California Society.  The members of the State Board look forward to being with all of you attending and to hearing the reports of the outstanding accomplishments of our many committees and chapters as we have done good works during the year.  The conference is also a time to meet other members, to share ideas, to problem solve, and to have fun!  It is a time to celebrate your dedication and your hard work during this past year.

See you there!
And Celebrate Service…to God, Home, and Country
