Outstanding Junior Contest entries must be received by October 31, 2014. There are no exceptions.
Please note there is a time sensitive requirement for the contest. The candidate must be endorsed as the Chapter Outstanding Junior by an official motion at a regular chapter meeting occurring between March 1, 2014, and October 31, 2014 (inclusive). The candidate can only be endorsed by the chapter in which she holds active membership. An associate member cannot be endorsed by, or take credit for any office or chairmanship held in her associate chapter.
When filling out the application, page 6 requires that a candidate provide the date of endorsement by her chapter and provide proof. Acceptable proof is a copy of the minutes of a regular chapter meeting between March 1, and October 30, 2014, at which the chapter endorsed her as chapter Outstanding Junior Member. The minutes should be signed by the chapter recording secretary. Notarization is not required. Make sure that your Chapter Outstanding Junior has a copy of the minutes to include with her contest entry.
Chapter Regents: If you haven’t already chosen a Chapter Outstanding Junior, now is the time! Please note that a Chapter Outstanding Junior does not have to apply for the Outstanding Junior Contest. Endorsing a Chapter Outstanding Junior is a great way for the chapter to recognize the efforts and contributions of your Junior Members.
When completing the Master Questionnaire, please be sure to include the name of your Chapter Outstanding Junior.
Contest entries should be sent to the state chair:
