Do you have an interesting story or experience to share with other DAR members? The California State Speakers Staff is looking for experienced speakers to share their talent and present their stories. There are many program areas from American History, Conservation, Genealogy, Women, and to the DAR itself!
The California Speakers Staff is made up of members appointed by the State Regent who are willing and available to go to chapters and districts to present programs. Programs can be a PowerPoint or video presentation on an event in history, sharing your musical talent, ways to break through a genealogy brick wall, or perhaps a program about a family heirloom like a quilt or Bible. To get ideas of what other California Daughters are sharing, check out “Program – Resource Material Handbook” on the CSSDAR Members’ website under the State Committees section of Documents and Forms.
Whatever your experience, talent or story, please consider sharing it with other members by filling out a California Speakers Staff Application. The application is available under the Documents and Forms and once filled out, needs to be sent to the State Regent and State Speakers Staff Chair for approval. A special pin is available from Hamilton Jewelers for members of the California State Speakers Staff.
