It is with a great deal of sadness that I report the passing of Honorary State Regent Lola M. Lawson. Lola’s family reports that she died peacefully today, February 13, 2014. Lola joined DAR in 1965 and was a 49 year member.

Lola served in many offices and chairmanships at the chapter, State, division, and National levels of DAR. Highlights of her dedicated service include:

State Vice Regent 2000-2002
National Vice Chairman DAR School 1998-2001
State Corresponding Secretary 1996-1998

No information regarding funeral services is currently known. When that does become available, a communique will be sent.

Those of us who knew and served with Lola will miss her deeply.  The State Society has sent condolences to the family.
