Happy New Year, all of you membership enthusiasts! Please commit to start off the year by attending one of the final Registrar’s Workshops of the Jamison Administration. We are moving south again on January 18th and 19th to Montecito (Santa Barbara area) and Glendora. Remember, if you haven’t attended, it is essential that every California chapter be represented at one of these workshops by their membership leaders, so please take advantage of this opportunity, right in your own back yards.
Please note: District workshops do not substitute for the State Registrar’s Workshops. On Saturday, January 18th, Daughters will gather from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Ennisbrook Clubhouse located at 420 Ennisbrook Drive, Montecito, CA.
On Sunday, January 19th, we will convene from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at State Headquarters, 201 West Bennett Avenue, Glendora.
This workshop is designed for chapter regents, registrars and assistants / trainees, chapter membership teams, volunteer genies, lineage researchers and anyone who is interested in learning more about DAR’s membership process. Everyone is invited to join us. Mark your calendars now!
The workshop is hosted by State Registrar Beverly Moncrieff, who will be joined by the State Organizing Secretary, State Lineage Research Chairman, State Membership Chairman, and State Volunteer Genie Chairman who have important information for you. This promises to be a fun-filled day of sharing and education on the evolving responsibilities of chapter and district registrars, the role of membership teams and lineage researchers, changes in both State and National procedures, “how- to” sessions, and exchange of information among ourselves on what is working well and what is not working so well in our chapters.
These are the seventh and eighth sessions to enable more Central and Southern California Daughters to attend this vital workshop.
Anyone who could not make it to a past workshop is invited to attend. Please bring a “brown bag” lunch to the meeting.
