Women’s Issues Contest Deadline Approaching

Celebrate America!  Celebrate Women!  The Women’s Issues Committee encourages all chapters to share information of concern to women at chapter meetings. It only takes a minute to inform members of important events or facts.

Members are encouraged to share their own stories about health issues, family situations, or careers.  Tell your story and how you conquered any problems you faced.  Submit an essay of your story to the Women’s Issues Essay Contest.

Essays may contain no more than 1,800 words (all words count) and must be double spaced. Be sure to include a cover page stating your name, National number, chapter name, title of your story, category, and your contact information (address, telephone number and email address).

Mail or email essays before January 15, 2014 to State Chair Diane Reimers at diane.reimers@usa.net or to 119 East 24th Street, CA 95901-3229.

To read past National winning essays, please go to the Women’s Issues Committee web page on the DAR Members’ website.
