Ho, Ho, Ho! Yes, California Daughters there is a Santa Claus and he will be at the Annual Christmas Tea this year! Look for our Colonial Santa sipping tea in the parlor, strolling through the bough-decorated tables on the patio, and peeking through the rooms during a docent tour of the State Headquarters.
Join us one and all on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at CSSDAR State Headquarters, 201 W. Bennett Avenue, Glendora, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The stockings have been hung by the chimney with care. The Victorian theme throughout our home provides a feeling of happiness and good cheer to our visitors. Kick off the holiday season by inviting your friends, families, and prospective members to share this event with you. State Regent, Debbie Jamison and the Board of Directors will be there to greet and visit with you. District VIII and District XIV will act as the District Hostesses this year. Docents will be available to answer your questions about the house and to provide tours. You will enjoy seeing the beautiful new carpet in the upstairs rooms, and new lace curtains throughout the downstairs portion of the house.
Visions of desserts and other delectable goodies will dance in your head as you approach the tea table in the parlor. Seating will be available both in the house and on the patio. While you are enjoying your time on the patio, plan to visit the Headquarters Sales table to help support Headquarters maintenance projects. Look for names of old friends and new on the memorial bricks spread throughout the property.
At the end of the day as you go out of sight, you can almost hear Santa wishing you a Happy Holiday and a Good Night!
