It’s time for chapters’ to start getting the word out!  Did you know that each chapter is eligible to publish one submission per calendar year in the Daughters of the American Revolution Newsletter? This is a great way to share the best and brightest of what your chapter is doing on a National level. Below are the instructions in the DAR Newsletter:

“Each chapter may publish one submission per calendar year. Articles are limited to 200 words. One photo may accompany each article. Submission may be sent via email or through the postal system. Email submissions should include two attachments: a Word document containing the article and photo caption, as well as a high-resolution digital photo (300 dpi or greater) in jpg or tiff format. Submission sent via the postal system should include a CD or USB flash drive containing the article and photo caption, as well as a high-resolution digital photo. Alternatively, we accept photo prints submitted by mail. Send materials to newsletter@dar.org or to the DAR magazine Office, 1776 D Street NW, Washington, CD 20006.”

There are 114 chapter in the California and the Daughters newsletter is published six times a year. This means that if every chapter sent in one submission spread out over the six publications, we would have an average of six articles from CA published in every newsletter.  What a great way to showcase the phenomenal things we do in California.
