November 23rd is the date! Gilroy is the place!  You’re invited to join us for the state registrar’s sixth traveling workshop, designed for chapter regents, registrars and assistants / trainees, chapter membership teams, volunteer genies, lineage researchers and anyone who is interested in learning more about DAR’s membership process.  Mark your calendars to join us!

We are reaching out to Northern and Central California Daughters, and will be holding this workshop at the Gilroy Police Department’s Meeting Room, 7301 Hanna St., Gilroy, CA 95020.  This is your chance — remember it is essential that every California chapter be represented at one of these workshops by their membership leaders!  So please take advantage of this one, right in your own back yard.

The workshop is hosted by State Registrar Bev Moncrieff, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  We will be joined by the State Organizing Secretary, State Lineage Research Chair, State Membership Chair, and State Volunteer Genie Chair , who all have information for you!  This promises to be a fun-filled day of sharing and education on the evolving responsibilities of chapter and district registrars, the role of membership teams and lineage researchers, changes in both State and National procedures, “how- to” sessions, and exchange of information among ourselves on what is working well and what is not working so well in our chapters.  This is the sixth session and is planned for Northern and Central California Daughters, with a special invitation to any member who couldn’t make it to the initial workshops in Glendora, Fresno, Elk Grove, Valley Center, or Eureka.  You can park out front of the two-story building; there is also a parking lot on the north side of the building.

We will meet on the 2nd floor.  Look for the elevator with access on the outside. It is on the north side of the stairs and will take you to the 2nd floor.  Get off the elevator and walk straight across the top of the stairs and go through the gate which should be open.  We will be in the first room behind the gate and the door will should be open.
