Hello California DAR Juniors,

The California State Regent has asked me to remind each of you that the deadline for the Outstanding Junior Member contest is October 31st.  The link for the application can be found here http://members.dar.org/committees/junior/outstanding_jr_contest.htm .  In order to be eligible to apply you must be nominated as your chapters Outstanding Junior before October 30th, have not reached your 36th birthday before that date, and have at least 10 points.  All of the information regarding points can be found at the above link and if you have questions regarding this contest, please contact the California State Outstanding Junior Member Contest Chairman, Nancy Sellnow, at nanellen@bruceandnancy.net .

We also have an informal get together coming up that I want to invite everyone to.  We will be touring the Princess Diana exhibit on the Queen Mary followed by lunch in the tea room on Saturday, October 12th.  There is an informational flier attached with the details for this outing.  This is an unofficial Juniors and Pages event and all costs are to be covered by each individual.  If you would like to join us, please email Michelle Wikum at mjwikum@gmail.com or reply to this email.  We will need a final head count to turn into the Queen Mary by Wednesday, October 9th so please RSVP before that date.
