AMERICAN HERITAGE TEA – SAVE THE DATE!

The California State Society  will be hosting an American Heritage Tea on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Please save the date and plan on attending this visual event!

Our dessert tea, “Quilts from the Home Front” will be held at the Radisson Hotel, 2233 Ventura Street, Fresno, CA 93721.

This year, quilt enthusiast Sherry Werum will be presenting quilts from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War. Arleen Richards will talk about quilts from World War I & II, and Gail Belmont, Director of Quilts of Honor, will let us know what has been happening today on the home front to honor our veterans and active duty soldiers.  There will be a  fabulous display of quilts to look at, friends to chat with, and wonderful desserts to eat.  You don’t want to miss it!

You can help make this a fantastic event by sending pictures of quilts and family and friends quilting to the event chairman.  We are looking for JPG images from the past and present to use in a slide show during the event.  The images need to be saved in JPG format and sent to the event chairman.  If you need help with scanning and saving the images contact the event chairman.

Reservation forms will be available on the CSSDAR Members’ website soon!
