Student Scholarship Winners

Sarah Klahr, Katherine Bryan, and Amanda Crafton

Three outstanding South Bay students have been awarded scholarships by El Redondo Chapter.  Sarah Klahr, Redondo Union High, excelled in academics, varsity water polo, and served with the city Youth Commission.  She also won the District IX Good Citizen Essay Contest.  Katherine Bryan of Mira Costa High is an excellent student and volunteer in the community.  Her mother, Leigh Bryan, recently was installed as a member of the chapter.  Katherine’s goal is to enter the field of neuroscience and will be attending Bowdoin College.  Amanda Crafton, North High, was chosen by her commanding officer to receive the DAR medal as outstanding JROTC cadet.  She will attend El Camino College pursuing a career in aerospace engineering.
