DAR Headquarters Needs Your Help! –

As is obvious in our many DAR publications and the websites, we enjoy featuring exceptional photos of our members in action. For these images, we often rely on members who submit photos because most of our work is done on the local level in our chapters. Action shots are the BEST!

The time has come again when we are searching for member photos to help create new promotional materials for National Society. We need compelling photos of members bringing to life the objectives of historic preservation, education and patriotism and showing the broad range of activities in which DAR members can participate. We would like to see photos of our members in action and we especially love those candid shots!

Examples include:

• Volunteering at schools or VA hospitals
• Naturalization ceremonies
• Dedications or memorials
• Events at your chapter’s or state’s historic properties
• Assembling care packages for troops
• Award and scholarship presentations
• Educational programs
• Unique chapter events

If your chapter is willing to share the photos of your members in action to be used for DAR promotional efforts, we ask you to send them to publicrelations@dar.org, or mail photos or a photo CD to:
