Point Vicente Presents American History and Christopher Columbus Awards

On January 21, 2013, at the Peninsula Center Library in Rolling Hills Estates, Point Vicente members welcomed over 60 students, parents, teachers, and guests to the annual awards ceremony for the American History and Christopher Columbus Essay Contests.

Lee Wolfe, chapter secretary and chairman of the American History Committee, presented the following students from St. John Fisher Parish School with first-place awards for the American History Essay Contest:  Roya Adli, fifth grade; Liam FitzGerald, sixth grade; Lucie Abele, seventh grade; and Firoozeh Adli, eighth grade. She also presented the Christopher Columbus Essay Contest award to Susan Wang, an eleventh grader at Chadwick School.

Chapter Regent Debbie Amaro, who also serves as District XIII American History Chairman, announced that Roya Adli, Lucie Abele, and Susan Wang had also captured the District XIII honors to be presented on February 9, 2013.

A reception was held after the ceremony for all attendees.
