State Regent’s Message – January 2013

Dear California Daughters,

Happy New Year!

It’s hard to believe that our annual state conference is right around the corner. The “Call to Conference” announcement can be found in this January 2013 issue of the California Clarion. The announcement includes hotel reservation information, rates, a notice about double rooms, and deadlines.

The online conference registration packet will be available by going to the CSSDAR Members’ website and clicking on the State Conference link. This link will take you to registration forms, conference schedule and event information, State Conference Standing Rules, Proposed Bylaws Amendments, and other information you will need to prepare for the conference.

The deadline to reserve a hotel room and to register for the conference is Friday, February 1, 2013.

This officer is pleased to announce that President General Merry Ann T. Wright will be attending our state conference. We are very honored that she will stay for the entire conference! Mrs. Wright will be having an event on Saturday morning at state conference for NSDAR Heritage Club Members in California. More information about this event is coming soon.

The Heritage Club was started in 1998 for donors who have cumulatively given $500 or more since its founding to the President Generals Project, the 1890 Annual Giving Circle, the wish list, or to the Direct Mail Program. These gifts to NSDAR programs that support our mission of historic preservation, education, and patriotism, can include cash, securities, property, and other items with an appraised value of $500 or more. If you want to become a member of the Heritage Club, contact the NSDAR Development Office at development@dar.org or call (202) 879-3285.

Your State Board of Directors looks forward to welcoming and visiting with members and guests at the 105th State Conference, March 7-10, 2013. See you there!

Bee inspired and take flight!

Debbie
