Protocol Pointer – December 2012

Here is one way to be courteous and show respect for others at chapter meetings and events:

Although cell phones are an important part of society today and they definitely are useful, please remember that cell phones should be silenced or in the vibrate mode during a meeting.  If there is an emergency and you must take a call, please step outside of the room before talking, and please do not re-enter the meeting until there is a break between speakers so as to not further disrupt the meeting.  Texting or sending emails during a meeting is also distracting to the speaker, and to those sitting around you, so please try to avoid doing this.

Thank you for your consideration of others!

As always, please email this committee chairman with any questions regarding protocol.
