Tamassee DAR School recently sent notification that our California Pouch Cottage had to purchase a new clothes dryer.  You can guess that a house full of eight boys would require a lot of laundry!  Your generous donations supplied the funds for the purchase of the machine.

Christmas is coming soon and we are sure that many of you have included the children in your budgets.  The names and grades of all the boys are listed below.  For those of you who would like to remember them on their birthdays those are also included. Please remember, the list changes on a regular basis. It is recommended that you contact the state chairman for updates.

After her recent trip to Tamassee, our State Regent suggested the following:

We have growing boys in Pouch Cottage who are in need of healthy snacks (avoid candy), individual packages of nuts, corn nuts, raisins, small bags of chips, small packages of cookies, snack bars, fruit roll ups, etc.  How about a case of oranges, pears, or apples? Popcorn (premade or microwave) and hot chocolate packages would be great, too!  In an effort to avoid duplicating gifts, please contact the state chairman before you purchase and send these items.  Gifts are to be mailed to Pouch Cottage, Tamassee DAR School, P.O. Box 8, Tamassee, SC 29686-0008 or street address: 1925 Bumgardner Drive, Tamassee, SC 29686.

Many Chapters have favorite schools they support.  We encourage you not to forget them.  How wonderful that we have funds to help these children on their way to obtaining an education, and for many,  a loving and safe environment in which to grow.  God bless them all.

Remember, both the Umbrella Pins and the 3-Balloons Pins are available for purchase.  Anyone can wear them and they make darling gifts.  If you cannot find the order form on the website please contact State Chairman Mary Ellen Mohler. The pins are $25 each.  There are no mailing charges.
