On Thursday, September 13, 2012, an authentic U.S. Capitol-flown American flag was installed in the lobby of the North Coast Veteran’s Resource Center in Eureka, California. Redwood Forest Chapter purchased the flag, its hardware, a framed certificate of authenticity, plus a custom-made brass DAR insignia plaque etched in calligraphy with the words “Honoring Our Veterans.” With great anticipation, NCVRC site director, Jason Henry prepared special wall space in their lobby, then assisted Flag Committee chair, Judy Aronoff and her HODAR, Guy Aronoff with the installation. A photo op was followed by publication in the Eureka Times Standard newspaper.
