Mission Membership – Lineage Research

The Lineage Research Committee is dedicated to helping chapter registrars obtain whatever sources are needed to complete applications–especially those applications that have received “have written” letters and are stuck at National. Whether you are a new registrar learning the process, or a seasoned registrar who has more applications than can be easily dealt with, the Lineage Research Committee can help. We have access to previously approved applications and source documentation as well as books at the DAR Library. Let’s get those applications moving more quickly through the process. Contact Chairman Barbara McMahon. Once the request and a copy of the application is received, the committee will immediately go to work using over sixty years of combined research experience to search for sources to support the applicant’s lineage. Please remember to obtain permission from the applicant to share her lineage with the committee before sending her application.
